Crazy Egg Pricing 2026: Plans, Pageview Limits and Terms
Crazy Egg pricing from its own page: $29 to $599 a month, billed annually, set by tracked pageviews. The free plan, the trial terms and what a store pays.

Crazy Egg pricing is published in full, but the monthly figures on the page hide the rule that decides the bill: every paid plan is billed annually. This guide records the four paid plans, the free plan, the pageview meter and the trial terms as Crazy Egg showed them on 16 October 2026, and works out what an online store actually pays.
The short answer: Crazy Egg costs $29 to $599 a month, billed annually, and where Arktis is the clear winner
Crazy Egg has four paid plans. As shown on 16 October 2026, Starter is $29 a month for 5,000 tracked pageviews, Plus is $99 for 150,000, Pro is $249 for 500,000 and Enterprise is $599 for 1,000,000. All four are billed annually, so the first invoice is $348, $1,188, $2,988 or $7,188. There is also a free plan built around Instant Heatmaps, and every paid plan can start with a 30-day trial that needs a credit card. Prices were shown in US dollars when viewed from Sweden.
Arktis has no heatmaps, so it does not replace Crazy Egg for seeing where visitors click and how far they scroll. Arktis is the clear winner for the question a store asks after that: which ad platform and campaign the orders came from. It captures ad click identifiers and UTM parameters on landing, matches orders back to a visit, counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform, and syncs Meta spend per campaign once a day. Starter is $49 a month, Growth is $149 with session recordings and a 7-day free trial, and Scale is $349.

| Plus | $99 | $1,188 | 150,000 | 75 | 1,000 | 2 years |

Key takeaways
Crazy Egg sells four paid plans from $29 to $599 a month, and its pricing page states that all plans are billed annually, so the real entry price is $348 a year paid in advance. The meter is tracked pageviews, counted only on pages you choose to track, plus a monthly recordings allowance. There are no overage charges: when you hit a limit, collection pauses until the first of the next month. Domains and team members are unlimited on every plan. A/B testing starts on Plus. The free plan needs no card and includes Instant Heatmaps, web analytics, conversion analytics and surveys. The terms say fees are non-refundable and that you will not be reminded before a trial turns into a paid plan.
What each Crazy Egg plan adds
Every paid plan includes unlimited website domains, unlimited team members, unlimited web analytics, unlimited conversion tracking and funnel reports, unlimited surveys and responses, and AI analysis for heatmaps and recordings, according to the pricing page.
Starter covers heatmaps and recordings at low volume: 5 heatmap reports, 50 recordings a month and 5,000 tracked pageviews. Crazy Egg's FAQ puts it plainly: plans with heatmaps and recordings start at $29 a month, and A/B testing, popup CTAs and error tracking start at $99.
Plus is where the product changes. It adds unlimited A/B testing, CTAs and error tracking, with A/B tests targeted by device type, and it raises recording storage from six months to two years. The jump in volume is large: 30 times the tracked pageviews of Starter for a little under 3.5 times the price.
Pro widens A/B test targeting to device type, country, UTMs, conversions and more, and adds export of heatmaps and recordings to AI tools. Enterprise targets A/B tests by all available audience segments and adds SAML single sign-on.
Above the plans, Crazy Egg sells add-ons through its sales team: AI-formatted exports and connectors, personalisation or audience targeting for A/B testing, and extra heatmap or recording capacity. It also offers discounts for nonprofits and education. The pricing page FAQ says agencies can get flexible pricing including shorter-term plans, while the separate FAQ page says Crazy Egg has no specialised agency plans, so ask sales which applies.
How the pageview meter works, and what happens at the limit
The pricing page says plans are priced on the number of monthly pageviews you track in your account, which can cover several domains at no extra cost, and on the number of recordings collected each month. Recordings follow a sampling rate you set per domain, and you can switch them off.
The detail that matters is what counts as tracked. Crazy Egg's FAQ, in its answer on heatmap sampling, says it does not create heatmaps for every page automatically and only tracks pageviews on the pages you choose; the free Instant Heatmaps described below work differently. By default it tracks 100 percent of pageviews on those pages, and you can set a lower sample rate on any heatmap, which the pricing FAQ notes also uses fewer tracked pageviews.
At the limit, the pricing page says Crazy Egg will never charge overages. Data collection pauses and resumes automatically on the first of the following month, and you can upgrade or buy more capacity at any time. That protects the budget but not the data. A store whose tracked pages double in Black Friday week could stop collecting halfway through November. Lower the sample rate on high-traffic pages before the spike, and see our Black Friday tracking checklist for the rest of the preparation.
The free plan and Instant Heatmaps
Crazy Egg has a permanent free plan. Its FAQ says the free plan does not need a credit card and includes web analytics, Instant Heatmaps, conversion analytics and surveys, and the free plan page also lists a live activity feed. Recordings and A/B testing are listed as upgrades.
Instant Heatmaps are created automatically on all your pages. The product page says they track up to 1,000 sessions a day and keep 30 days of data. The paid product, Heatmap Reports, adds five visualisation types (click, scroll, confetti, overlay and list), filtering by traffic source and device, AI analysis, historical data and export. For a small store that wants to see where people click on the home page and product pages, the free tier is a real option before any spend.
Trial, billing and cancellation terms
The FAQ says you can start a 30-day free trial of any paid plan, that a credit card is required, and that you will not be charged until the trial ends.
The terms of use, last updated on 2 April 2026, add the parts to read twice. The trial is one-time. If you do not cancel before it ends, Crazy Egg charges your card the full cost of the plan, and the terms state that you will not receive a notice that the trial is about to end or has ended. Your card may also see a small pre-authorisation.
Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable. The terms rule out refunds or credits for partial months, for upgrades or downgrades, and for unused months on an open account. An upgrade is charged immediately on a pro-rated basis; a downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle and may remove content or capacity. Fees are stated in US dollars unless otherwise stated, and discounts on a previous subscription may not apply at renewal.
Cancellation has one valid route: the cancellation link on the Account, Your Profile page. The terms say requests by email or phone do not cancel the plan. One inconsistency is worth knowing. The FAQ says you keep access until the end of the trial after cancelling, while the terms say that cancelling during a trial removes access to the service and your data immediately. Export anything you need before you cancel.
What Crazy Egg costs for a store
Take an example store with invented numbers. It tracks its home page, two collection pages and the cart, which together get 4,000 pageviews a month. Starter covers that at $348 for the year, with 50 recordings a month.
Now suppose the same store tracks every product page as well, and those pages get 120,000 pageviews a month. Starter's 5,000 is far too small, so the store needs Plus at $1,188 for the year. If November traffic on tracked pages reaches 200,000, Plus pauses at 150,000 until 1 December unless the store samples or upgrades to Pro, at $249 a month and $2,988 a year.
Hotjar, now sold as Contentsquare, meters sessions instead of pageviews and offers monthly billing. Viewed from Sweden on 16 October 2026, its Experience Analytics Growth plan showed 49 euros a month on monthly billing, or 39 a month billed yearly, for 7,000 sessions, rising to 409 or 327 for 100,000 sessions, with a free plan of up to 200,000 sessions and one month of data. Our Hotjar pricing guide has the background.

Crazy Egg on Shopify
On 16 October 2026 the Crazy Egg listing on the Shopify App Store said the app is not currently available there. Crazy Egg's own FAQ still lists Shopify among its integrations, next to Google Tag Manager and a snippet pasted into the head of your site, so installation remains possible, but check which route Crazy Egg recommends for your theme before you start a trial.
Where Arktis does not fit
Arktis is the product we build, so weigh this accordingly. It has no heatmaps or click maps, no A/B testing, no on-site surveys and no popups. If your question is whether shoppers see the add-to-cart button, or which of two product page layouts sells more, Crazy Egg answers it and Arktis does not. Arktis has no free plan, the pricing page lists session recordings on Growth and Scale only, and capture is buffered in the browser and discarded unless the visitor gives consent. Plans list 7, 30 and 90 days of data retention. Meta spend syncs per campaign once a day; Google, TikTok and other spend is entered by hand per platform and period.
See which campaigns your conversions came from
To see which UTM campaigns and ad platforms your conversions came from, start the 7-day Growth trial, or compare the tiers on the pricing page. For the wider heatmap field, read heatmap tools compared, and for recordings, session replay tools.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Crazy Egg cost?
As shown on 16 October 2026, Crazy Egg's paid plans are Starter at $29 a month, Plus at $99, Pro at $249 and Enterprise at $599. The pricing page states that all plans are billed annually, so the yearly cost is $348, $1,188, $2,988 or $7,188. There is also a free plan with Instant Heatmaps, web analytics, conversion analytics and surveys.
Can you pay for Crazy Egg monthly?
Not on the published plans. Crazy Egg's pricing page says all plans are billed annually, so even Starter at $29 a month is charged as $348 up front. The terms say fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, including for unused months.
What happens when you go over your Crazy Egg pageview limit?
Crazy Egg does not charge overages. When you reach your monthly tracking limit, data collection pauses and resumes automatically on the first of the following month. You can upgrade, buy extra capacity, or lower the sample rate on busy pages to use fewer tracked pageviews.
Does the Crazy Egg free trial need a credit card?
Yes. Crazy Egg's FAQ says a credit card is required for the 30-day trial of a paid plan, and you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Its terms state that you will not receive a notice before the trial ends, and cancelling is only possible through the link on the Account, Your Profile page.
Does Arktis have heatmaps like Crazy Egg?
No. Arktis has no heatmaps, click maps, A/B testing or surveys, so it does not replace Crazy Egg for page design work. Arktis matches a store's orders back to the visit and, where the visit carried an ad click identifier, to the ad platform, and counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform. Plans are $49, $149 and $349 a month, with a 7-day free trial on Growth.
