Northbeam Alternatives: 6 Options Compared for 2026

Most people searching for Northbeam alternatives have already seen the pricing page. Starter is listed from $1,500 a month, Professional from $3,500, and every plan ends in a demo or a quote rather than a signup. This guide compares six alternatives on what each vendor showed publicly on 1 October 2026 and says when Northbeam is still the right answer. One of the six, Arktis, is ours, and the section says so.

The short answer: Arktis for online stores, Triple Whale or Rockerbox when you need MMM too

The best Northbeam alternative depends on what you were buying Northbeam for. If you wanted to know which source and campaign your orders came from, a self-serve attribution tool does that for a fraction of the price. If you wanted marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing next to multi-touch attribution, the realistic alternatives are Triple Whale's Enterprise tier and Rockerbox, and neither publishes a price.

For an online store, Arktis is the clear winner. It captures the ad click identifier when a visitor lands, matches orders, where it can, back to the visit and the ad click or campaign that brought the visitor, counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform next to the Meta spend it syncs per campaign, and lets you watch the session recordings of visitors who converted, filtered by source. Prices are published at $49, $149 and $349 a month, with a 7-day free trial on Growth, so a store can see its own numbers this week instead of after a sales cycle.

Key takeaways

Northbeam's plans start from $1,500 a month and its own FAQ says the real figure depends on your pageview volume, so the alternatives split by budget. Below that, Arktis at $49, ThoughtMetric at $99 and Hyros at $230 a month, as shown on 1 October 2026 under a promotional banner, all display a starting price you can check yourself. Polar Analytics lists from $750 a month on the Shopify App Store. Triple Whale has a free plan and showed no paid price on its own pricing page on the day we checked, although its Shopify App Store listing shows Foundation at $219 and Automate at $749 a month. Rockerbox is quote only. Of the six, Triple Whale, Polar and Rockerbox offer marketing mix modelling or incrementality testing, and none of the three puts a price on it.

Why stores look for a Northbeam alternative

The first reason is the entry price. Starter is listed from $1,500 a month for brands spending less than $1.5 million a year on ads, which is at least $18,000 a year before the first insight. Northbeam's pricing FAQ adds that your monthly price is informed by the volume of data in your business, measured in pageviews, so the listed rate is an estimate until Northbeam has seen your traffic.

The second is how you buy it. Each plan card on the pricing page leads to a demo booking or a quote request, with no self-serve signup. The FAQ describes Starter as month-to-month for early-stage Shopify brands, and Professional and Enterprise as annual terms.

The third is platform. Integration with any e-commerce platform, not just Shopify, is listed under Professional, from $3,500 a month. Our Northbeam pricing guide goes through each plan in detail. A fourth plan, Growth, bundles Northbeam with a partner agency for brands spending under $200,000 a month and shows no price.

The 6 best Northbeam alternatives

1. Arktis, the winner for online stores

Arktis is the tool we build, so weigh this section accordingly. It is an attribution and session recording product for online stores, and it is deliberately narrower than Northbeam.

The tracker captures ad click identifiers on landing, including gclid, fbclid, msclkid and ttclid, plus UTM parameters, and holds them against the visitor across sessions. Stripe customers are matched to visitors through a four-pass waterfall. Shopify orders arrive through Shopify's order webhook and are matched on email where the store has identified the visitor, otherwise on the UTM source of a session from the previous 24 hours, which can be another visitor's session. Unmatched orders are still stored, unattributed.

From matched orders Arktis counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform, next to the Meta spend it syncs per campaign, and compares first-touch, last-touch, linear, time-decay and position-based credit per ad platform, so you can see how far the answer moves with the model. The free attribution model comparison tool shows the idea.

Starter is $49 a month for up to 50,000 monthly tracked visitors. Growth is $149 for up to 250,000 and adds session recordings. Scale is $349 with unlimited visitors. There is no free plan, only the 7-day trial on Growth.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale is the closest peer in ambition. Its pricing page describes a Free plan with first and last click attribution, a Foundation plan that adds multi-touch attribution, an Automate plan built around its Moby AI operator, and an Enterprise plan that brings attribution, marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing together in a product called Compass. Compass is an add-on below Enterprise.

Triple Whale's own pricing page showed no paid prices on 1 October 2026, only a button to book a walkthrough, and its FAQ says prices are based on your brand's annual GMV and the package you choose. Its Shopify App Store listing showed Foundation at $219 a month and Automate at $749 a month, without naming a revenue tier. In late August 2026 the pricing page displayed $549 and $1,349 a month at the $1 million to $2.5 million GMV tier; those figures are no longer shown. Expect the quote to rise with revenue. Paid plans are 12-month subscriptions. Triple Whale vs Northbeam compares the two directly, and Triple Whale alternatives covers the tools that compete with it lower down the market.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is the most straightforward like-for-like swap for a small store that wants multi-touch attribution and nothing else to negotiate. Pricing is based on monthly pageviews, every feature is included in every plan, and the slider shows $99 a month up to 50,000 pageviews and $199 at 75,000 and 100,000. Annual billing takes two months off and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.

The feature list covers five attribution models, data refreshed every 10 minutes, campaign and creative performance, a conversion API, customer surveys and unlimited users. It does not list marketing mix modelling or incrementality testing.

4. Hyros

Hyros positions itself differently from everything else here. Its pricing page says in terms that Hyros is not an analytics tool: it plugs into your existing reporting, tracks sales back to ads, and pushes that conversion data to the ad platforms so their delivery improves. Every account gets a setup team, and the page carries a guarantee that if your ads do not grow you do not pay.

Pricing is one plan on a slider of tracked monthly revenue, shown on 1 October 2026 under a promotional banner at $230 a month for up to $20,000 tracked, rising in steps to $1,499 at up to $750,000, with a custom quote above $1 million. The banner calls it special pricing with a booking deadline, so the regular price may differ.

5. Polar Analytics

Polar is a reporting layer first and an attribution tool second. Every plan includes a dedicated Snowflake database, a first-party pixel, unlimited users and unlimited historical data, and the Business Intelligence product includes multi-touch attribution alongside dashboards and custom reports. Incrementality Testing is sold as its own product, with a dedicated data scientist running lift tests on Meta, Google, TikTok or TV campaigns.

Polar's own pricing page lists its plans without a figure and routes each one to a demo. The public number is on the Shopify App Store, where the listing shows the Core plan from $750 a month, priced on online GMV, with discounts for annual contracts. That starting figure is half of Northbeam's.

6. Rockerbox

Rockerbox is the alternative for the brand that was considering Northbeam's Enterprise plan. It combines multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing on a single data foundation, covers offline channels such as TV and direct mail as well as paid digital, and lists more than 100 integrations. DoubleVerify announced its acquisition of Rockerbox on 26 February 2025.

Its plans page describes the products and has no prices; the only routes are a demo or a call with an expert. For a store spending on Meta and Google, it is far more than you need.

Where Northbeam is still the right choice

Northbeam earns its price in a specific situation, and its own pages describe it. The pricing FAQ recommends Enterprise once you spend more than $250,000 a month on performance marketing, although the Enterprise plan card itself says more than $500,000 a month. At that scale the question shifts from which campaign produced this order to how the budget should be split across channels.

That is what marketing mix modelling answers, and Northbeam's version, MMM+, is listed as an optional product on Enterprise. Northbeam describes it as the only media mix model that can ingest its native multi-touch attribution data, with forecasts and budget allocations you can adjust daily rather than quarterly. Incrementality is listed as optional on Professional and Enterprise. Add view-through attribution through Clicks plus Deterministic Views, a dedicated Media Strategist from Professional up, and optional hourly conversion data on Enterprise, and you have a measurement stack that none of the self-serve tools here try to match.

So if you spend at that level across many channels and have someone to own the tool, stay with Northbeam or compare it with Rockerbox and Triple Whale Enterprise. Our guides to marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing explain what those methods can and cannot tell you.

Where Arktis does not fit

Arktis does no marketing mix modelling, has no finished incrementality testing, and has no view-through attribution. Meta Ads spend syncs through a direct connection per campaign, but Google, TikTok, Microsoft and other spend is entered manually in the Ads Analytics dashboard per platform and period, which gives customer acquisition cost per platform and one blended ROAS. The model comparison covers visits that carried an ad click identifier; a UTM-only campaign appears in the UTM campaign report instead.

It also does not send conversion events back to Meta, Google or TikTok. If feeding the ad platforms better data is the job, Hyros, Polar's Advertising Signals or Northbeam's Apex are built for it and Arktis is not. Arktis is a measurement layer that sits alongside those.

How to choose

Start with monthly ad spend. Well below Northbeam's bands, a listed starting price of $1,500 a month is hard to justify and a published-price tool will answer the question you actually have. Above $250,000 a month, Northbeam's own guidance points you to Enterprise.

Then ask whether you need to see behaviour as well as credit. Arktis puts session recordings next to attribution, with capture buffered in the browser and discarded unless the visitor gives consent.

To see attribution on your own traffic, start the 7-day Growth trial, or read the tiers on the pricing page. E-commerce attribution software compares the wider field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Northbeam alternative for an online store?

For an online store, Arktis is the clear winner. It matches orders, where it can, back to the visit and the ad click or campaign that brought the visitor, counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform next to the Meta spend it syncs per campaign, and lets you watch the session recordings of visitors who converted, filtered by source. Prices are published at $49, $149 and $349 a month with a 7-day free trial on Growth.

What is the cheapest Northbeam alternative?

Of the tools that publish a starting price, Arktis is lowest at $49 a month for up to 50,000 monthly tracked visitors. ThoughtMetric starts at $99 a month for up to 50,000 pageviews, and Hyros showed $230 a month for up to $20,000 in tracked monthly revenue on 1 October 2026 under a promotional banner. Triple Whale has a free plan with first and last click attribution only.

How much does Northbeam cost?

On 1 October 2026 Northbeam's pricing page listed Starter from $1,500 a month for brands spending less than $1.5 million a year on ads and Professional from $3,500 a month for up to $500,000 a month in spend. Growth and Enterprise are custom. Northbeam's FAQ says the actual monthly price is informed by your pageview volume.

Which Northbeam competitors offer marketing mix modelling?

Triple Whale includes marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing on its Enterprise plan through a product called Compass, and lists it as an add-on on lower paid plans. Rockerbox combines multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modelling and incrementality testing. Polar Analytics sells incrementality testing as a separate product. None of the three publishes a price for these.

When is Northbeam still the right choice?

Northbeam's own pricing FAQ recommends its Enterprise plan once you spend more than $250,000 a month on performance marketing. At that level its optional MMM+ and Incrementality products, view-through attribution and dedicated Media Strategist address budget allocation questions that self-serve attribution tools do not attempt. Below that, a published-price tool is usually the better buy.
