Shopify Plus Pricing 2026: Fees, Terms and Total Cost

Shopify Plus pricing looks like one number until you sign: the monthly fee depends on the term you commit to and the currency you are billed in, larger businesses can owe a variable platform fee on top, and the trial is paid. This guide records what Shopify's own pricing page, help centre and enterprise blog said on 26 October 2026, what Plus adds over the Advanced plan, and how to work out the total cost for your store.

The short answer: Shopify Plus starts at $2,300 a month, and Arktis is the clear winner for seeing where that revenue comes from

Shopify Plus costs $2,300 a month on a three-year term or $2,500 a month on a one-year term, in US dollars, according to Shopify's help centre and its enterprise blog on 26 October 2026. More complex, higher-volume businesses may also pay a variable platform fee based on revenue and business model, which differs for B2B and direct-to-consumer sales, and Shopify does not publish the rate. Viewed from Sweden, the pricing page showed Plus "from €2,100 EUR" a month while every other plan was shown in Swedish kronor, and the help centre lists €2,100 on a three-year term and €2,250 on a one-year term for the EU. For comparison, Advanced costs $299 a month billed yearly or $399 billed monthly.

Arktis is not a Shopify alternative and does not replace anything Plus does. What it is the clear winner for is measuring where Plus revenue comes from: it captures ad click identifiers and UTM parameters on landing, matches Shopify orders back to a visit and, where that visit carried an ad click identifier, to the ad platform, and counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform next to the Meta spend it syncs each day. Plans cost $49, $149 or $349 a month, Growth has a 7-day free trial, and a store with more than 250,000 monthly tracked visitors needs Scale, which has no visitor cap.

These are the fees in Shopify's help centre table for standard setups, as shown on 26 October 2026. Shopify notes that pricing is subject to change.

Key takeaways

Shopify Plus has a published floor and an unpublished ceiling. The floor is $2,300 a month on a three-year term, $82,800 over the full commitment, or $2,500 on a one-year term. The ceiling depends on a variable platform fee that Shopify sets in its quote for some complex, higher-volume businesses. Shopify publishes no minimum revenue to qualify. Plus mostly buys control over checkout, B2B, expansion stores and APIs, plus priority phone support. Lower payment rates cover the higher subscription only at large online sales volumes. The trial is paid and rolls into a full Plus plan unless you act.

Shopify Plus price by currency and term

Shopify sets the Plus fee by billing currency and term length. A one-year term costs more per month than a three-year term in every currency: $200 more in US dollars, €150 more in euros and £150 more in pounds. The pricing page's FAQ adds that if you choose a one or three-year Plus subscription, you can cancel when your term commitment expires, so the cheaper rate is bought with a longer lock-in.

The currency you see depends on where you are. Shopify's pricing page, opened from Sweden on 26 October 2026, showed Basic, Grow and Advanced in kronor and Plus as "from €2,100 EUR" a month, which matches the three-year euro fee in the help centre. A US store sees and pays the US dollar figures. The Plus trial page lists local currency billing for new merchants in India, the EU, the UK, Australia, Japan and Canada, but a later line on the same page says full-plan billing is in US dollars unless the currency is rupees, so confirm the billing currency in your agreement, as Shopify's upgrade guide advises.

The variable platform fee

The help centre says the listed fees are for standard setups and integrations, and that "for more complex, higher-volume businesses, there might be a variable platform fee based on your revenue and business model, which differs for B2B and D2C companies." Shopify's enterprise blog repeats the point and adds that Shopify does not publish a revenue level at which variable pricing begins.

That leaves the percentage, any cap and the threshold to your quote. Shopify's upgrade guide says to send the Plus sales team your annual online revenue, payment setup, sales model and technical needs, and that the quote will establish the plan fee and payment rates. Agency blogs quote a range of percentages and caps, but none of them comes from a Shopify page, so treat any figure you read elsewhere as something to confirm in writing rather than a price.

Contract terms and the Plus trial

Plus is sold on one or three-year terms. Shopify's upgrade guide describes moving from Advanced as a plan change under Settings and Plan rather than a rebuild, though expansion stores, checkout extensions and B2B catalogs still have to be set up afterwards.

The Plus trial is available to eligible merchants and lasts one to two months depending on store status. It is paid: $399 a month in US dollars or €384 in euros, with other currencies listed. If you take no action by the end of the trial, the store is automatically enrolled in a full Plus plan on the terms chosen during trial setup. Some Plus features are missing during the trial, including expansion stores and unlimited staging stores, organisation settings and analytics, Test Drive and bot protection, and the trial allows 20 themes against 100 on the full plan.

What Plus adds over Advanced

Shopify's enterprise blog, published on 24 October 2026, sets out the difference between the two top plans. This table follows that article and the Plus plan page in the help centre.

Checkout control

Shopify's own guide names advanced checkout customisation as one reason to upgrade. On Advanced you can change branding in the standard checkout editor and add eligible apps to the Thank you and Order status pages, but not to the information, shipping or payment pages. Plus opens the Checkout Branding API, extensions on those pages, Checkout Blocks for custom shipping discounts, and separate B2B and direct-to-consumer checkout flows in one store.

B2B and wholesale

B2B is on every plan, with companies, net payment terms and self-serve ordering. Advanced caps you at three active B2B market catalogs. Plus removes the cap and adds direct catalog assignment to a company or location, deposit requirements, partial payments and payment requests per fulfilment.

Scale, international and teams

Plus supports up to nine expansion stores, each needing its own theme licence once live, and up to 25 Hydrogen storefronts. It also unlocks custom apps that use Shopify Functions, the Plus-only GiftCard, Multipass and User REST resources, Launchpad for scheduled sales events, and combining several product discounts on the same line item. Shopify Audiences is available on Plus, and the trial page notes it is limited to merchants in the United States and Canada.

Payment rates

For US businesses, Shopify's upgrade guide lists the standard online card rate as 2.5 percent plus 30 cents on Advanced and from 2.25 percent plus 30 cents on Plus, and the fee for using a third-party payment provider falls from 0.6 percent to 0.2 percent. From Sweden, the pricing page showed online card rates of 1.4 percent plus 1.85 kronor on Advanced and 1.3 percent plus 1.85 kronor on Plus. Rates vary by country, and the guide says the final calculation needs the rates in your Plus quote.

Shopify's Plus plan page also lists extended authorisation: Visa, Mastercard and American Express payments can be authorised for up to 30 days, with a 1.75 percent additional charge when you capture after the standard seven days.

Total cost: a worked example

Take an invented US store, today on Advanced billed yearly, weighing a three-year Plus term. The subscription rises from $3,588 a year to $27,600 a year, a difference of $24,012. The only saving we can compute from Shopify's published figures is on payments.

If every online sale went through Shopify Payments at the standard card rate, Plus saves at most 0.25 percentage points per sale, since its rate starts from 2.25 percent and the 30 cents is the same on both plans. To recover $24,012 from that saving alone, the store needs at least $9,604,800 of online card sales a year. On a third-party payment provider, the gap in Shopify's fee is 0.4 percentage points, which needs $6,003,000 a year. Both figures are our arithmetic, assume no variable platform fee and ignore every other benefit.

That is why Shopify's own guide says the decision depends on more than revenue. Count the checkout changes you will actually make and the apps and developer hours Plus would replace, then add the new costs: a Plus partner for custom development, theme licences for each live expansion store, apps and any variable fee.

Measuring where Plus revenue comes from

Shopify's Growth section shows sales and orders by marketing channel and campaign under five attribution models, last non-direct click by default, and Shopify says all storefront data has included cross-device reporting since 1 March 2023. Plus adds organisation analytics across several stores, though not during the trial.

What Shopify's reports do not do is sit your orders next to the ad click identifiers a visitor arrived with; our guide to Shopify reports covers what each plan includes. Arktis adds that view. Its tracker holds gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid and other click identifiers plus UTM parameters against the visitor across sessions, server side. Shopify orders arrive by webhook from the day the store connects. Each order is matched to a visit on email where the store has identified the visitor, otherwise on the UTM source of a session from the previous 24 hours, which can be another visitor's session, and orders that cannot be matched are kept and appear under Direct on the Revenue page.

An order counts for an ad platform only when it was matched to a visitor who arrived with that platform's click identifier. The Revenue page shows revenue net of refunds, orders and paying customers by the source of the visit each order was matched to. Arktis counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform, next to the Meta spend it syncs per campaign once a day at 01:00 UTC through a direct connection. On a site with no Meta connection, spend for Meta, Google, TikTok and other platforms can be entered by hand per platform and period instead.

Where Arktis does not fit

Arktis does not replace any part of Shopify Plus. It has no checkout, no wholesale ordering and no discounts, and it sends no events to Meta or Google. It does not import earlier orders in bulk, so connect it well before any period you want to measure. Visitors are identified per browser, so a click on a phone followed by a purchase on a laptop is not joined, where Shopify's own reports include cross-device data. The fallback match on UTM source can credit an order to the wrong visitor's session, which matters more for a high-volume Plus store with many sessions per hour. The tracker keeps its identifiers in local storage from the first page view and sets its own cookies only after consent, so in the EU and UK it belongs in your consent setup like any analytics script.

See where your Plus revenue comes from

To see conversions by UTM campaign and ad platform against your Shopify orders, start the 7-day Growth trial, or compare Growth and Scale on the pricing page. For the setup, read marketing attribution for Shopify, and if Meta reports more sales than Shopify shows, see why Facebook Ads and Shopify sales don't match. Orders from AI channels are a newer gap, covered in our guide to Shopify agentic storefronts.

How can a Shopify Plus store see which campaigns its revenue comes from?

Shopify's Growth reports show sales by channel and campaign under five attribution models, last non-direct click by default. For a click-based view, Arktis is the clear winner: it matches Shopify orders back to a visit and, where the visit carried an ad click identifier, to the ad platform, and counts conversions per UTM campaign and per ad platform. Arktis costs $49, $149 or $349 a month, with a 7-day free trial on Growth.
